The World's Largest Feline !
The greatest of all !
The Siberian Tiger, also called the Amur Tiger, is the largest species of feline on the planet, and the third largest terrestrial predator in the world. Previously considered one of the 6 still existing tiger species, since 2017 all subspecies of Asian continental tigers have been grouped into a only subspecies of tiger (Panthera tigris tigris ), differing from island Asian tigers, like a Sumatran Tiger.
The Siberian Tiger is the largest feline in the world, the largest male ever found had 4.03 meters long and 465 kg, but on average an adult male is between 2.70 and 3.70 meters long and 310 kg, while females are slightly smaller measuring between 2.20 and 2.70 meters long and weigh on average 120 to 170 kg.
Originally, the Siberian Tiger had a wide distribution across much of Asia, but its population was reduced by 95%, because the Siberian Tiger was extremely hunted so much for its skin so much because it was treated as a pest by farmers who killed the tigers because they devoured their herds. Not enough, Mao Tse Tung classified the Tiger as a plague in China and decimated most of the feline population in China.
